FN FAL–Select Fire Assault Rifle

First produced in 1953, this 7.62x51mm select fire rifle has been used worldwide. It is fitted with a 20.8" barrel and a magazine that holds 20 rounds. It is available in several different configurations. Weight is about 9.8 lbs. Marked “FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL.” Markings will also indicate many other countries made this rifle under license from FN.

Bayonets for FN FAL

There are two primary patterns for this rifle. Many were exported along with the FAL rifles. Type 1 has wood, metal or plastic grips. Muzzle ring with flash hider prongs. 7.75" single edge blade.
