From the bridge over la Nive des Aldudes head E along a narrow road. Pass under the dismantled railway and immediately turn right and climb. Fork right after the second switchback and then fork left up a track to the left of a farm building. Keep straight on up a path at a junction and veer left when you meet a track. Ignore two left turns. The first campsites on the ascent are on the left by a third left turn (55min). Continue until you reach a narrow tarmac road, then turn right to a road junction (561m). Keep straight on up a track, then fork left and continue until the track levels off on the NE ridge of Oylarandoy.
